Bridge to Global Literature

Welcome to The Antonym Magazine, where the beauty of language transcends borders and stories find resonance in every tongue. As your linguistic gateway to a world of diverse narratives, we take pride in the art of translation that breathes life into words, bridging cultures and connecting hearts.

EDITOR’S NOTE

As we move into another new month in this year that’s still somewhat new, the world at large wages various wars. A month where we celebrate womanhood is also one which comes at the heels of staggering injustice and violence against women.

Literature in such a world of inequities seems a welcome respite. This month we offer you a curated selection of fiction, poetry, interview, book reviews and creative non-fiction, translated from Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Italian, French and Assamese. We especially turn our attention to the verdant state of Assam, celebrating its rich poetry, fiction and drama. I earnestly hope you enjoy reading what we have assembled for you.

  1. This was a beautiful read. It kept me enthralled enough to not understand the subtle emotions inbetween lines. Kudos!
