Pause – Deb Bandyopadhyay

I cracked, I shattered
an warm slice of litter
pinched trough the caverns
rested time in a jar
yes, I heard it fracture

Lights from distant tower
pierce like a wavy pain
rhythmic vicissitudes
million senses of puncture
solitude in a chain

Frozen light curved the needles
frozen light left no pain
you told me once
when it all ends,
we’ll fly,
we’ll breath again..
